Who We Are
Cornerstone Community Foundation was formed on November 2, 2020, and received Tax-exempt status on October 22, 2021, as a separate non-profit agency to support the mission of Cornerstone Community Church. In an effort to become a cornerstone in the community we felt it necessary to provide the best opportunities to raise financial support and develop programs for the most vulnerable populations in the city of Norwalk. It is our hope to serve all stages of life in an effort to deepen community connections and build community strength by developing responsible, vital and committed citizens and foster wholeness in individuals.
ATC is a newly founded non-profit organization aimed to build a community where all can belong, serve the needs of individuals and families through counseling, resourcing, and networking, and to provide safe space where all are welcomed.
For the past two years, Cornerstone Community Church has stepped up in the midst of the pandemic to be a cornerstone in our community. We stepped up in response to food insecurity in our city and have made major inroads to being a trusted source of support in Norwalk. The members and leaders of the church have determined that there is still much work to be done. Therefore, it was decided to establish a not-for-profit organization to continue to be key support of our community, as well as alleviate the restrictions in funding that being a church can impose.
